Here is a good website for looking up water advisories for the various past few years.

I know that I feel half the fun of fishing is the providing for yourself and your family, and of course, the EATING! However, we also want to be sure that we aren't feeding our families anything that is bad for them, either.

The nice thing about the above website is that from time to time they also put out a "No-Advisory" list that has bodies of water which have no known health problems and no limitations on the amount of fish you can eat from them. I hope that your favorite fishing hole is located in one of those!
