RANK beginner here

I would say RANK AMATEUR, but I don't even think I qualify for the moniker "amateur" yet.

I used to live on a property with a 3 acre pond. It had bream, bass and catfish on it. I found a flyrod on the property when I moved in, so I tried to use it a few times with some dry flies I had in my tacklebox.

I had a few strikes, but I don't feel that I ever really "got" the hang of it. I always had trouble getting the lure much past about the 20 ft mark.

Would be interested in hearing anything from folks who are more experienced/expert in this area.
