Hey Guys,
I have a 1996 nitro 882 bass boat. It measures 18.6ft and has an 150EFI Mercury motor, hot foot, hyd steering, and a manual 5in jack plate. When I bought the boat last year the plate was adjusted all the way down and I can get a great hole shot and 53mph with 30gal of fuel all my gear and 2 grown men. Has anyone ever adjusted a plate and what can I expect. I have heard it is a double edged sword. You will gain more speed the higher the plate, but loose your hole shot. Any advise. Thanks Guys. |
