Comment: I catch these off of the dock at my grandparents house in maine around August every year. I am not a fan of eating them, they are a little too fishy tasting and really bony... very fun to catch though, they put up a fight...

Comment: I am catching these guys on just about anything from a wharf on Prince Edward Island. These fish "school" and the water boils as they gang up om capelin, our local baitfish. They are running 1-2 pounds, are VERY scrappy on light tackle and easy to catch when there.

Fishing seems best with a bright sunny day at high tide. We use any bright metal lure, 3 in tandem, or 3 hooks with live or salted capelin (minnows),

Great eating and great fun in the harbour of the Dunk River.
