According to Outdoor Alabama magazine the top 5 big bass producing lakes in Alabama are Guntersville, Aliceville, Pickwick, Harris and Eufaula lakes for providing the best chance of catching a bass larger than 5lbs, with Aliceville lake in west central Alabama leading at the top. The statistics were a cumulative total from state of Alabama tournament bass clubs that are turned in to the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division. The year 2007 was the best in the previous 22 years with 2008 expecting excellent results also.
